After an introduction and intention setting, you will be invited to lie down to breathe.
The breath is often through the mouth but can be through the nose. You will be encouraged to actively inhale and passively exhale and are guided by music along with verbal cues.
Towards the end there is time for integration, and a period of quiet, deep relaxation which allows the body and mind to absorb the experience.
There is also the option to join in a sharing circle which gives time to ground, integrate and to reflect.
The most common experiences in conscious connected breathing are physical and emotional sensations. Common sensations include tingling in hands, face, or feet, light headedness, temperature fluctuations (hot/cold), and muscle tension or tetany (e.g., cramped hands), which often signifies the release of tension. Participants often report feeling a strong release of suppressed emotions, anxiety, or stress.
It’s a good idea to wear loose-fitting, typically, clothing and bring comfortable to have layers.
Yoga mats are available, but you can bring your own. It is good to have blanket, a slim pillow and an eye mask to create a cozy, safe space. You might want to bring some water to drink (water is available on site).

Please book if you intend to come by contacting julietteaharrison@hotmail.com and I can send more details. It is also important to arrive at the venue a little earlier, to give the group time to get ready.

The fee is concessionary, up to £10.
