Stepping into Spring - Conscious Connected Breathwork
Details
Conscious Connected Breathwork is a somatic healing therapy.
In the session you will be invited to set an intention and then to lie down to actively breathe for about 50 minutes. The breath pattern is generally through the mouth but can be just as beneficial to breathe through the nose. You will be supported to actively inhale as you are guided, to a peak, by music and meditation. There is time for integration, and a period of quiet, deep relaxation which allows the body and mind to absorb the experience.
There will the option to join in a sharing circle at the end and will be time to ground. The most common experiences in conscious connected breathing are physical and emotional sensations. Common sensations include tingling in hands, face, or feet, light headedness, temperature fluctuations (hot/cold), and muscle tightening before relaxation. You can also feel a release of suppressed emotions, anxiety, or stress.
It’s a good idea to wear loose-fitting, typically, clothing and bring comfortable to have layers. Yoga mats are available, but you can bring your own. It is good to have blanket, a slim pillow and an eye mask to create a cozy, safe space. You might want to bring some water to drink (water is available on site).
Payment is by donation.
