What we’re about

Alta Vista Neighborhood Association of Sarasota, Florida is where fellow residents learn about and discuss important local issues and advocate for our mutual interests.  Alta Vista is the neighborhood surrounding Payne Park.  Membership:  We welcome residents of Alta Vista proper as well as those in adjacent communities not represented by an active Neighborhood Association.  Formal Boundaries of Alta Vista:  going clockwise from train tracks at Tuttle Avenue south to Bahia Vista Street on the East, Bahia Vista to Tamiami Trail at the South, Tamiami Trail and Washington Blvd to Ringling Blvd at the West, Ringling Blvd to the train tracks continuing along the train tracks south and east to Tuttle at the North.

A civic and advocacy group: We are a nonpartisan democratic forum for residents to discuss local issues, hear municipal representatives and take positions on pressing matters. Primary concerns are the health of our park and local schools, construction projects, business activity, municipal services, and safety.

Meetings:  We welcome the general public to observe our general meetings.
