Be part of a healing "village" in the monthly Community As Healer group. Using EKP (Emotional-Kinesthethic Psychotherapy), a heart-centered body-centered method, when anyone has a turn, everyone has a turn.

You will have a chance to slow down, relax and notice subtle sensations in your body and heart as we create a space of emotional safety, incorporating heart meditation, facilitated dialogue, energetic tracking, watching for verbal and non-verbal cues and touch with permission to work with emotional issues at a body level.

Learn about the roles of client, witness and helper. No matter what role you play, our goal is for you to feel nourished and supported. Group process includes individual check ins and debrief after healing turns.

Sliding scale $60 - 75 paid at the group

The group is facilitated by Linda Marks, MSM, a pioneer in the field of body psychotherapy. Linda has developed, taught and practiced EKP for 35 years.

After running a certification training program for therapists for many years, Linda realized that many of her heart-centered and body-centered tools could be applied in a less "clinical," community setting and used to create deeper connection, presence as well as healing. These tools can enrich our personal lives and our relationships with self and others.

Linda holds degrees from Yale and MIT, is author of Living With Vision: Reclaiming the Power of the Heart (Knowledge Systems, 1988) and Healing the War Between the Genders: The Power of the Soul-Centered Relationship (HeartPowerPress, 2004). She has appeared on national television (the Montel Williams Show), local television and National Public Radio (WBUR, New Dimensions Radio and Wisconsin Public Radio). She practices in Newton, MA
