Come join us for a full day of activities that kicks off with a Community Bike Ride, Kids Bike Rodeo, KidZone and is headlined by our Inaugural Juneteenth and Father’s & Familes Football Classic: 7 on 7 and Big Mans Challenge for middle school and high school youth. Parking
For those attending the event, parking will be made available inside of Allen’s Pond and with overflow available nearby. All cycling events will start and finish from the front of Allen Pond Ice Skating Rink. All other activities will take place at Mitchellville Field across from Allen Pond Park.
8:00am Cycling Meetup/830am Departure
Details: 25/40 Mile community group rides leaving from Allen Pond Ice Rink and traveling through the Bowie/Mitchellville areas led by our friends at ARTEMIS RACING.
Ride Marshalls will be on hand to support maintaining pace of riders and support riders in returning in a timely fashion.

11:00am Kids Bike Rodeo Meetup
Details: Kids Bike Rodeo to be held at Allen Pond. Children ages 3 and up are welcome with parents in attendance. This Rodeo is a focus on safe and proper bike handling skills using a rodeo style obstacle course to engage youth. Please remember safety first, helmets are required. Event hosted by our friend with PHASE CYCLING.
9:00am Football Tournament & Big Mans Challenge
Details: The Football Classic event is here to promote mentorship with men and boys, and highlight youth sports.
Athletes from around the DMV will participate in both competitions - younger attendees can enjoy football drill activities in the Kid Zone.
9:00am Kids Zone Meetup
Details: Our younger attendees can also enjoy activities in the Sponsored Kid Zone moon bounce and other activities. This event will also be held at Mitchellville Field across from Allen Pond Park.
Notes for participants of cycling activities:
· Activities and festivities will begin promptly at 9am and pace riders will support a timely return
· NO SAG support will be available and we ask that all participants for the ride be responsible
· Take the necessary safety precautions and ensure you have the following items when riding:
1. Helmet (Required to Participate)
2. Gloves
3. Safety Glasses
4. C02 (2 each)
5. Spare Tube (2 each)
6. Safety Lights
7. Water Bottle(s)
NOTE: WHEN PARTICIPATING IN THIS FUN RIDE, YOU AGREE TO BE RESPONSIBLE AND LIABLE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY. PLEASE RIDE RESPONSIBLY AND FOLLOW ALL TRAFFIC LAWS!
These rides are not for beginners and ask that all participants ride within their fitness level.
All participants, guest should enter on the Northview side of Allen Pond for available parking.
