Spring Forward - Hwy 44

Continuing with the theme of the Southern California Motorcycling Association (SCMA) 2022 CA Best 15 Roads -- this time it's Hwy 44 from Hwy 36 to Redding. https://sc-ma.com/ca-best-15-roads-challenge/ca-best-15-roads-list/

Let's head out for a Spring LDR (Long Distance Ride - AKA another Bob Monkey Butt Ride) the day before our clocks all spring ahead an hour and we spend two weeks feeling jet-lagged.

The ride leaves Java Drive in Martell/Jackson at 8 AM. (Let me know if you want to join the ride in Carson City or Reno.) Come early to sip a hot beverage before the ride. We'll head up and over Carson Pass, cruise past Reno, then take a break at Hallelujah Junction. Lunch in Susanville before we head across 44 toward Redding. We'll be stopping for a quick photo op in Old Station, and a short visit to the Lassen Loomis Museum -- to check the boxes for SMCA -- before a donut shop stop at the end of 44 for the receipt.

If you don't want to do the entire route, come for part of it and break off for home at your convenience. I plan to bomb down the super-slab (US 5) from Redding to make it back home by sunset.
