River Paddle on Lower Mokelumne River

Details
Joining with the Lodi Paddlers Meetup (co-posted), We'll float / paddle 5 miles down the Lower Moke River from the Van Assen Day Use Area at the Hatchery below Comanche Dam to Stillmann Magee Park in Clements, and we may well find some ripe blackberries along the way. Currently, the flow is at a very mellow 300 cfs.
Bring your own boat (14' and under), PFD and paddle. Personal flotation devices (PFD's) must be worn. Hard shell boats only, No inflatables.
Paddling skills in moving water will be needed and Instructions will be provided and demonstrated at the Put-in / Practice area cove for those that need it or aren't sure. In general, this is a very easy, friendly river paddle.
Parking fees are required for shuttle vehicles left at Stillman Magee Park, $5.00 Weekdays. No parking fee at the Van Assen Day Use area.
We will meet at the Van Assen Hatchery Day use area at 8:15 and work out the vehicle shuttle down to Stillman Magee.
