Hike - Silver Lake Shuttle Loop 8 miles

We'll hike a loop from the Granite Lake Trailhead to the Tragedy Springs parking at Hwy 88, with a return car shuttle setup. About 8.5 miles total distance.

We'll meet at the 76 Station in Pioneer at 9 am to organize carpooling. From there, we'll head to the Tragedy Springs parking for the shuttle setup (a 40 minute drive) and then lastly to the Granite Lake Trailhead (a 10 minute drive).

I've done all the parts and pieces of this hike, but never in a continuous full loop. It should be fun and scenic... I think.

A majority of the hike will be along FS roads or ORV roads. About a third will be good trails.

This hike is rated as MODERATE with an elevation at the start of 7000 ft. to a finish at 8,000 ft. Please consider your ability level and fitness to keep up with the group as you contemplate your participation in this hike.

Bring good sturdy hiking boots, hiking pole or poles recommended, Lots of water, sunscreen, bug repellent, hat, and favorite energy snacks.
