Equinox Hike at Calaveras Big Trees State Park

We'll mark the autumn equinox at Big Trees State Park. There will likely be beautiful fall colors from the Dogwoods as well as the ever-magnificent Sequoias to enjoy. We'll start with the North Grove and Overlook Trails (about 3 miles mostly flat with some moderate climbing), After lunch/snack there will be an opportunity for more hiking at the south end of the Park (South Grove 5 miles or Bradley Grove 2.5 miles to be determined by the group). Bring layers of clothing, hat, hiking footwear, poles, water, snack/lunch. Rain postpones. Likely rain dates are Tuesday Sept 23 or Wednesday Sept 24.
