I'm sorry that this notification is late. I just received this from the Calaveras Fly Fishers. We have been invited to their October 1st. Member meeting. Unfortunately one of their long time members, Dave Ryniec recently past away. His wife has donated his fishing equipment to the club to be used as a fundraiser. If you're in need of fishing equipment this could be a great opportunity to purchase it and also help a fellow fly fishing club.
There's much more that will be available such as Reels, float tube, Waders, Fins, Flies, etc.

| As most of you know, Dave Ryniec passed away on July 23, 2025. He was one of our active long-term members - even being President for a time.

His wife, Maureen Ryniec or “Mo” to us, generously donated all of Dave’s fishing gear to our Club to help get it back into the hands of the fishing community – and back into action on the water.

Also, at her request, all proceeds will be donated to our local Sierra Nevada Logging Museum in recognition of Dave’s career with the Weyerhaeuser Company and their connection with forestry and logging.

So, our Club will be offering all of Dave’s extensive fishing gear – mostly fly fishing – to those present at our next monthly meeting – Wednesday, October 1.

• Some sale individual – like rods; some may be groups – like reels & spools.

• Some will be available in the evenings “Special Raffle” with tickets being $2 each or 6 for $10 – in recognition of the higher values of his items - like nets, boots, waders. Rember Dave had “high-quality” gear!

• Some may even be free!

• What falls into which category is still being determined.

• This is a special 1- Day Event – so be sure you come and bring your fishing friends for this Special High-Value opportunity. Dave liked quality gear!!!
