Breaking the Ice :-)

I won't lie, playing a musical instrument (or "performing" in general) in front of an audience could be quite intimidating, specially when you know very little about the people that make up that audience. It is a position where one could feel quite vulnerable to the judgement of others. However, dear member, I hope the fact that most of us went through (and are still going through) the struggles and frustrations of learning how to play a musical instrument would assure you that no matter how you judge your own "performance" we would only be compassionate and appreciative.

That said, if you still prefer to get to know the people you could one day share music making with, I thought that having a recurrent get-together, where people just chat, learn more about each other, and break the ice, might be a good place to get things started.

This meeting would also be an opportunity to plan activities, share ideas and suggestions, or inquire about how the other events work.

Cost: The cost of whatever you order at the venue. But please make sure you order something (even if just coffee) so that we maintain cordial relation with the venue owners.

On RSVPing: There are limited spots and reservations might be required. So, please RSVP in a responsible way (i.e. RSVP when you are sure you can make it, give reasobale notice, and change your RSVP as soon as your attendance becomes uncertain).
