All-Levels Sketch Comedy Writing Meet-up!

Let's get together, write and read sketches, and make each other laugh!

In college, I was in a sketch comedy group that was the most fun thing I've ever done in my life! Since then, I'm mourned the loss of that group-- and finally realized that you don't need to be in college to write silly things and read them with friends old and new!

I'm interested in getting together a group of people to write, read, and eventually perform sketches together in the long term, but this first meeting will be low-stakes and a chance to see if you enjoy this kind of thing! We'll bring in things we've written and want feedback on and give them table-reads, and then maybe do a few writing exercises if we have time.

This meeting is perfect for writers and performers, actors and improvisers, stand-ups and sticks-in-the-mud. Whether you're sitting on a dozen scripts or have never tried anything like this, this meeting is a perfect place for us to come together and celebrate the joy of sketch comedy.

Bring a device that you can use to read people's material (nothing crazy, just a phone with Google Docs installed, most likely), and you can bring printed copies of any sketches you've written, if you prefer.
