HOLIDAY HIKE at Saguaro Lake, Butcher Jones Trail– E. Mesa

*Please join us for a FUN "Ho-Ho-Holiday" hike!*
Grab your SANTA HAT or Holiday outfit & let’s meet for a FUN, EZ 'moderate' HIKE to celebrate the holiday season!
Come & enjoy a beautiful Lakeside Hike in the desert!
The Scenic Trail contours around coves of Saguaro lake, providing nice views of the lake & surrounding mountains, such as 4 Peaks.
Rated: Easy, 1st ½ mile, then more moderate w/small hill, short climb UP coming back! (Elevation: only 115 ft.)
Distance: About 5 miles round trip - out & back on same trail
Time: 2.5 to 3 hours to Burro cove & back (hiking at Moderate pace)
*MEET at 9:30am: Butcher Jones Trailhead (Recreation area), just left of the beach area.
What to Bring: 2-3 liters of water or sports drink

• +sunblock +good hiking/tennis shoes with good tread!

(If you want, bring a picnic-style lunch/snacks for after the hike)

• There are picnic tables & grills, vault toilets, but No drinking water! So… REMEMBER to bring plenty of water!
• (This is EZ Hike #1...next one on 17th to come! @ South Mountain)
