Aravaipa Canyon Wilderness (West Trailhead)

***************Aravaipa Canyon Wilderness West entrance.*************** I have 10 Permits for entrance into this designated Wilderness area, which includes two nights camping. (Permits are required) Only a total of 30 people are allowed in this west entrence of this Amazing wilderness area at a time. That means it is a very secluded canyon and very Beautiful!
This is a water hike in the Aravaipa Creek we will be hiking in the creek.... water hiking footwear is needed.
We will be hiking in about 2 1/2 miles to 3 miles Tuesday morning find an area to set up camp for two nights. After camp is set up its time to explore this beautiful area, and explore some the surrounding canyons. Like Hells half acre canyon, Painted Cave Canyon, Javalina Canyon, Virgus Canyon, and Horse Camp Canyon. Second day possible hike to Horse Camp Canyon and explore the many Canyons along the way. Day three we will enjoy the morning, break camp and hike out.
There is a small cost of $20. for the entrance that includes our camping for two nights permit. If you sign up to attend it does not mean you are going! You will be contacted by me, I will ask you some more questions and some information then ask for payment, and notify you that you are accepted and can attend.
There is limited parking so it is best to Carpool, we will take no more then 3 vehicles to the west entrance parking lot. It is about a 3 hour drive from the greater Phoneix area. These arragmentes will be worked out after all attending is figered out.
No potable water available. No restrooms.
What to bring: Food and water and (water filtration) for entire trip, nutritious snacks, hat, sturdy footwear, sunscreen, camera, flashlight, food and water and camping gear for 2 nights stay.... and any other items that you as an EXPERIENCED backpacker/camper would like to have with you... And very important your sense for an Amazing Arizona Adventure!
READ THE FOLLOWING: The Organizer of this trip is a VOLUNTEER, not a "leader". The organizer IS NOT trained in first aid and is not a bonded expert mountain or kayaking guide. You will need to bring your own experience and judgment. If you want to enjoy the benefits of traveling in a group, then we suggest that you stay with the group on the trip.
The Event Planners, Leaders and all Organizers from "Amazing Arizona Adventures" are volunteers and are not professional guides. They will not be held responsible for you. The function of the Organizer is only to organize this event. Each person who signs up for and participates in our events are responsible for his or her own safety and the safety of his or her guests. You agree not to hold the trip Planners, Leaders or Organizers responsible if you get injured. By your confirmation of attending you agree to the above terms and agreements.
