Ole!!!! If you didn't have enough of Cinco de Mayo, come celebrate
"El Mes de Mayo" with your fellow Amazing friends ! Enjoy a gorgeous sunset, followed by the Glimmer of the Sparkling city lights as they light up our night sky. As if that isn't enough watch the magnificent Full Moon Rise in the eastern sky!
We will hope to have have some live music (if are musician friends can make it) lights and of course, YOU! Bring a chair/blanket, drinks (Did someone say Margaritas) that you enjoy, and whatever food you would like to share with others!
Contribute to A taco bar.. with everyone bringing 1 item, that would be AMAZING!
Sun sets around 7:20 pm, the Moon will start to rise as we head up the trail at 5:45 pm. I will be going up from the 7th avenue trailhead, which is just over 3/4 mile and appr 450 elevation. Look for the glowing "9" sign up the mountain.

LET'S MAKE THIS AN AMAZING CELEBRATION UP ON THE RUINS of CLOUD 9 & WATCH THE SUNSET & THE MOON RISE AS THE CITY LIGHTS START TO GLIMMER!!! MOST OF ALL PARTY AND MEET & ENJOY YOUR FELLOW HIKERS!!!

MUSICIAN PLEASE COME AND SHARE YOUR TALENT, JAM WITH OTHERS.... PLEASE BRING YOUR MUSICAL INSTRUMENT WHATEVER YOU WOULD LIKE TO PLAY AND SHARE FOR THIS FESTIVE OCCASION!!!

This Festive Occasion will be a lot of fun! We will watch the Sunset around 7:25 pm as the city lights come on and then the Moon rising as we hike up around 5:50pm. So come enjoy the evening festivities... Will be a Wild and fun Celebration!!

Volunteers: We will be heading up and back a few time to carry stuff up for preparation and set-up. So if you have the time to help with this let me know. Hope to start doing this between 5/ 5:15... please join me.

We will be going up at 5:45PM from the 7th Ave Trailhead it is just over 3/4 mile up and just under 450' El. Gain. Look for the glowing "9" high in the Sky. If you would like to make it a longer hike you can come up anytime and any trailhead to meet us up at "Cloud 9 Ruins." We plan on being up on Cloud 9 for a few hours enjoying each others company (come and go as you wish).

***When heading up remember if you hiked to the top of the mountain you have gone too far, we are on the south side before the summit & off to the East of trail.... the trail loops back up to cloud 9 ruins***

As always, bring lots of water, nutritious snacks, hat, sturdy footwear, hiking poles, gloves (personal choice), sunscreen, camera, flashlight (for evening hikes), and any other items that you as an EXPERIENCED hiker likes to bring on hikes...and very important your sense for an Amazing Arizona Adventure!
