Fossil Springs Trail (Bob Bear Trail) Tonto Wilderness, Coconino National Forest

# "Fossil Creek" First chance to go after a permit is not required.. So let's do this Amazing hike, and enjoy one of the most Beautiful watering holes in Arizona !

I am excited to head up to Fossil Creek with our group to see this most Amazing and beautiful area.
The Bob Bear Trail is a very popular route that winds through the beautiful Arizona desert inside the Tonto Wilderness, eventually reaching the famous Fossil Springs. This trail was originally called the Fossil Springs Trail, but now is officially named the Bob Bear Trail.

So join me to check it out. It is a canyon hike meaning we start at around 5,700' Elev. and go down to 4,200' Elev. and then back up.
We will spend some time at the springs having a lunch break and if you choose swimming by the falls and exploring the swim in cave just below the falls.... I Am In.

We will leave at 7:15 SHARP

As always, bring lots of water, Swimsuit & Drying cloth, nutritious snacks for lunch, hat, sturdy footwear, hiking poles (personal choice), sunscreen, camera, flashlight (for evening hikes), and any other items that you as an EXPERIENCED hiker likes to bring on hikes...and very important your sense for an Amazing Arizona Adventure! (Bring something to wear to enjoy the refreshing spring water)
