Annual Holiday Hike-Mormon Trail, Hidden Valley Loop, South Mountain.

LETS GET THIS HOLIDAY SEASON ROCKING with a HO…HO…HO…HOLIDAY HIKE ON SOUTH MOUNTAIN !!
This is the BIG ONE.. SO COME ONE, COME ALL FOR HOLIDAY FUN!!

Get on your holiday costume, or grab a SANTA HAT, ELF HAT, Reindeer Antlers, be creative & wear your holiday colors & get ready to meet some of your amazing & wonderful fellow hikers. So let’s have some FUN on this hike to celebrate the holiday season!

We’ll hike UP Mormon Trail thru Fat Man’s Pass into Hidden Valley & then back down Mormon Trail. Approx. 3.8 miles RT (Hiking at moderate pace, plus allow for PHOTO stops, should take 2 1/2 -3 hrs.)
This hike is very interesting with cool rock formations – gigantic boulders you’ll squeeze through narrow gap called FAT MAN's PASS! Then we’ll loop thru Hidden Valley (that offers many great locations for PHOTO Opp.) & go thru an awesome natural Rock Tunnel & then back down to parking lot.

• Please wear shoes w/good tread (slippery in spots & may have to 'rock scramble' as well)
• Bring plenty of WATER! + hat, bandana, sunscreen, cell phone, etc.
• We'll meet at 9:30am @ small shelter at beginning of trailhead.
  DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
  Go South on 24th St., from Baseline Rd., until dead ends (slightly left) at base of the Mountains & parking lot is on the right.
• If you have trouble finding a place to park, you can park on side street opposite of 24th St.

• This is a MODERATELY difficult uphill (approx. 900 Elevation) hike.
