St. Patrick's Day Hike up Mormon Trail, Fat Mans Pass, Hidden Valley Loop

**********IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR!!! ST PATRICK’s DAY!!! ***********
----------GREEN, GREEN, LETS FILL THIS MOUNTAIN IN GREEN--------------
Wear your 'Green' attire in Spirit of ST PATRICK’s Day & Join us for a FUN LOOP hike up Mormon Trail to Hidden Valley, thru Fat Man’s Pass & then back down.
We might get LUCKY & see some Shamrocks & Leprechauns along the way!
WHERE: MORMON TRAIL thru Fat Man’s Pass through HIDDEN VALLEY and back.
Distance: 3.9 miles
Elevation: 800 ft.
Difficulty: Moderate
Hiking at MODERATE PACE – 3 hrs. +/-
It’s a very interesting hike with cool rock formations, 2 gigantic boulders you’ll squeeze through a narrow gap called FAT MAN's PASS! Then we’ll loop back through Hidden Valley & go thru an awesome natural rock tunnel & then back down to parking lot.
We should complete in 2 1/2-3 hours hiking and stopping for Photo Ops along the way, at a moderate pace!
Wear your GREEN in celebration of this special day!
Bring: plenty of WATER! + hat, bandana, sunscreen, camera/cell phone, etc. shoes with GOOD TREAD (Can be slippery in spots & may have to 'rock scramble' as well)
DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
Go South on 24th St., from Baseline Rd., until dead ends (slightly left) at base of the Mountains. Parking lot is on the right.
We'll meet at small shelter at beginning of trailhead.
If you have trouble finding a place to park, you can park on side street opposite of 24th St.
