AWA Impact Event (April 3): Capital Build Day + Happy Hour

Did you know that Did you know that 65% of Austin Habitat homeowners are single mothers or female heads of the household? This is an astounding percentage, and it only drive home the importance of safe and affordable housing for women and their families.
On the morning of April 3, 2024, volunteers from across the state come together on the south steps of the Texas State Capitol to build all the walls of a Habitat home to highlight our work to ensure everyone has a decent and affordable place to live. After we build the walls, we will load them up on a truck and send them to Lubbock where they will become part of a home for a family in need.
Lunch and a free T-shirt are included. Check-in begins at 8:30 AM when you will receive your free t-shirt to change into before we start the Build. Lunch is served at noon. RSVP Here and be sure to register as a volunteer with Habitat here -
