1. Amazon Monitron: enabling enterprises to perform predictive motor maintenance

What is the session about?

• Industries like manufacturing, energy, and transportation, where machine reliability is paramount struggle with down time due to technical failures. Most of industrial machine maintenance is still either done in a reactive or preventative fashion. This outdated approach doesn’t only lead to costly and prolonged downtime, or premature repairs, but it is also a burden on staff that in turn has to spend their day off fixing a preventable problem. Amazon Monitron is an end-to-end system for anomaly detection in industrial machines. It monitors various parameters - temperature, vibration, power consumption - providing comprehensive insights into machine health and performance.
  That way it enables companies to save costs by moving their production to the next level using predictive maintenance. Overall, Amazon Monitron offers a straightforward solution for customers that do not have any previous experience with IoT or ML. Its ease of use, ML-based analytics, and ability to provide immediate notifications make it a valuable tool for reducing unplanned downtime and optimizing equipment performance.

Who will present?

• Melanie Kluger (she/her) has been a cloud consultant at tecRacer for 4.5 years and since last year she is the team lead of the Vienna branch. Originally she studied geosciences, now the only thing that connects her to the earth in the broadest sense is Terraform. With this she implements Landing Zones and all Cloud Foundation topics for customers. Having a good foundation makes companies more efficient in the long term and efficiency is what brought her to the topic of predictive maintenance.

Who will present?

• Wolfgang is working at AWS as Migration & Modernization Specialist Solution Architect for the DACH region. Helps customers migrating and modernizing workloads with DevOps, Containers. Previously worked as Delivery Architect and Full Stack Java Developer. In his free time, he likes to travel and voluntary work as paramedic.
