Autumn is arriving in Vienna β€” and so is our next AWS meetup! πŸ‚

In this October edition, we’ll explore what AI-assisted cloud operations looks like in practice: from using AWS DevOps Agent to investigate incidents, correlate signals, and support real DevOps workflows, to building safer and more trustworthy AI agents for production. Our speakers will share hands-on lessons, real-world examples, and practical patterns for rolling out AI agents responsibly in AWS environments.

A big thank you to Raiffeisen Bank International AG for supporting the community and making the meetup possible! πŸ™Œ

"Teaching an AI to Debug Our Cloud: AWS DevOps Agent in Practice"
Speakers:
Roman Jokel, Cloud Architect (Raiffeisen Bank International)
Mladen Trampic, Senior Technical Account Manager@AWS

About the talk:
AWS DevOps Agent is AWS's AI-powered teammate for operations β€” it investigates incidents, correlates logs/metrics/traces/deployments, proposes mitigations, and learns your environment over time through custom skills and memory. In this talk, we'll walk through what it can actually do, how we rolled it out across our AWS organization, the custom skills we built to teach it our environment (networking, IAM, account provisioning, firewall logs, and more), and the real incidents it has helped us resolve. We'll close with the honest lessons learned β€” what worked, what surprised us, and what we'd do differently β€” so you can walk away with a realistic picture of what AI-assisted operations looks like in practice, not just in theory.

"I don't trust my agents!"
Speaker: Darko MesaroΕ‘ Principal Technologist@AWS

About the talk:
Your AI agent works great in the demo. Then you deploy it and it hallucinates a refund policy, exposes customer data, or just loops endlessly burning tokens. This session walks through a layered approach to agent safety using tools like Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and the Strands Agents SDK: guardrails, observability, multi-agent safety patterns, and reference architectures you can adapt immediately.
