Many of our customers run on-premises VMware environments, and recent Broadcom licensing changes have led to cost increases across the board. As a result, many are now exploring a move to Amazon EC2 but aren’t sure how to get started. In this session, we’ll explore two key paths forward: running VMware workloads on AWS with **Elastic VMware Service**, or using **AWS Transform for VMware with Agentic AI** to plan, prepare, and execute a smooth migration to EC2.

Chandra is a Specialist Solutions Architect with over 25 years of experience in IT infrastructure, operations, and software development. For the past five years, he has helped customers successfully migrate workloads from VMware to AWS. Before joining AWS, Chandra worked in VMware R&D, contributing to large-scale distributed systems and key platforms like VMFS, Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), and SDKs. He specializes in designing and automating hybrid cloud environments. and passionate about creating scalable, efficient, and future-ready cloud solutions.
