The future of Digital Regional Planning in South Australia - built with AWS
Details
Hi All,
Our next event is back at Core Hub on the 4th of September.
Join Greg van Gaans (Director Land and Built Environment) and Michael Ness (Manager Geospatial Services) from the Department for Housing and Urban Development, along with Steph Ebel and the team from Versent. They will present on the Digital Regional Planning Program.
"The Regional Planning Program sets the vision and strategic planning direction for the next 15 to 30 years for South Australia’s seven planning regions. In 2024, for the very first time, the regional plans will be delivered via the digital Regional Planning Portal that will give unprecedented access to a state-wide planning and infrastructure framework. Each regional plan includes interactive maps and dynamic content to assist with investment decisions.
Join us to explore how the Department for Housing and Urban Development (DHUD), brought the Digital Regional Planning geospatial platform to life with assistance from business partner Versent. This innovative platform, designed to be fully configurable by non-developers, enables seamless updates and on-demand content regeneration. Hosted on AWS and built with a primarily serverless architecture, the platform leverages services like CodePipline, CodeCommit, CloudFront, S3, Aurora, Athena, and Lambda. Dynamic content is delivered to the React client through various APIs providing a cutting-edge solution for regional planning."
This one has everything - from a high level vision of how to deliver critical state services all the way down to a deep dive into the AWS details.
See you there!
Rick
