Hi all,

We're having a Kiro Night at Core Hub!

Go from vibe coding to viable code - build something real in one evening

About this event

Tired of AI coding tools that generate spaghetti? Join us for a hands-on evening with Kiro - AWS's new spec-driven AI IDE that brings structure to AI-assisted development.

No slides. No lectures. Just you, your laptop, and two AWS Solutions Architects guiding you through building a real application.

What you'll do
- Turn a rough idea into structured requirements
- Generate architecture and implementation tasks with AI
- Build features using agentic development
- Walk away with something working

Your guides

Anton Schnetler | ISV Solutions Architect, AWS
Expert in Kiro and Q Developer. Will walk you through the spec-driven workflow and show how to transform your development process.

Arran Peterson | Solutions Architect, AWS
Built the AWS Adelaide conference app entirely with Kiro. Runs production data migration agents. Will share real-world patterns and pitfalls.

Before you arrive
1. Sign up for Kiro at https://kiro.dev (free tier available)
2. Use social login or AWS Builder ID
3. You'll get free credits
4. Install Kiro (VS Code extension or standalone)

What to bring
- Laptop (Mac, Windows, or Linux)
- Kiro installed and logged in
- A project idea (or use one of ours)

Who should attend
Developers of all levels. Whether you're AI-curious or already using Copilot/Claude, you'll learn the structured approach that takes you from prototype to production.

This is the first time we've run an interactive meetip but it's a great one to try!. Please register and be aware SPOTS ARE LIMITED. We'll have some of our amazing sponsors there (plus beer and pizza).

See you there,
Rick
