AWS User Group Edinburgh #31

We are incredibly excited to be bringing you our next AWS User Group Edinburgh from The Everyman Cinema in the St. James Quarter!

To celebrate 10 years since our first Edinburgh User Group we invite you to join us on Wednesday 10th April for an evening of networking and knowledge sharing.

We are delighted to have Bill Buchanan from Edinburgh Napier University joining us on the evening to present on AI and Cybersecurity. Bill was our first ever speaker at our first User Group 10 years so we're excited to have him join us to celebrate!

We are also looking forward to having Paul Gledhill from Lloyds Banking Group present "Gaming AWS: Running Game Servers on a Shoestring". Join Paul as he takes a dive into the realm of Gaming using AWS. Discover how infrastructure-as-code, Git-managed config, and scheduled pipelines can streamline the provisioning of monolithic game servers. Learn about the innovative use of Discord for player interaction with the servers in a controlled manner. Additionally, we’ll discuss the crucial role of monitoring game server usage, and cost optimization strategies used to keep expenses under £1 per month.
