🎤 Talk 1: Bring Your Phone! Build a Multiplayer AI Quiz Game with AWS

Bryce will demonstrate Trivolt, an open-source multiplayer trivia game built from first prompt to production largely with GenAI coding tools. A host selects a topic and difficulty, AI generates and validates questions using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and Strands agents, while AWS AppSync Events powers real-time communication between the host and up to 50 players joining from their phones using a six-character code.

Discover how GenAI and AWS serverless services come together to build an interactive, real-time multiplayer experience.
The session ends with a live game, using a quiz generated on the spot from a chosen topic.

🎤 Talk 2: Chiwai Chan maps Amazon Bedrock AgentCore

Chiwai Chan is kicking off a new series at the AWS User Group Wellington on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore — AWS's platform for running AI agents in production — starting with the overview. Before the deep dives, Chiwai lays out what each piece does (Runtime, Memory, Gateway, Identity, Payments, Code Interpreter, Browser, Observability, Policy, Evaluations, Optimization, a Registry) and how they fit together.
The talk opens on a single request through an agent — inbound auth from Identity, the agent loop on Runtime, context from Memory, tools reached through Gateway, the whole thing traced by Observability and gated by Policy. That one path becomes the map for the rest of the series
