CHATFIELD HOLLOW & COCKAPONSET STATE FOREST - Rigorous

We will hike a 7+ mile figure-eight loop that explores these two adjacent parks. Registration requested. Expect a route with ups and downs (1000+ feet of elevation gain). We will walk at a rigorous pace (about 2 mph). Bring plenty of water, snacks/lunch, and personal first aid items. We will meet just inside the Chatfield Hollow State Park entrance on route 80 in Killingworth (there are two small lots on either side of the park road, I will be in the lot on the left). Please arrive by 8:45 AM for a 9:00 AM starting time.
