Description: We will hike a 7+ mile figure-eight loop that explores these two adjacent parks. Registration requested. Expect a route with ups and downs (1000+ feet of elevation gain). We will walk at a rigorous pace (about 2 mph). Bring plenty of water, snacks, and personal first aid items. After the hike, you're invited to stay for the CT AMC Member Appreciation Picnic. For the hike, we will meet at the parking lot inside Chatfield Hollow State Park by the boardwalk. The park entrance is on route 80 in Killingworth, drive past the kiosk on the park road. Your first left will bring you to a large parking lot where we will meet. Please arrive by 8:00 AM for a 8:15 AM start time.
