Description: Northwest Camp is in Salisbury, CT, within walking distance of the AT and multiple other trails; access is limited to only those with a reservation. Only one group at a time may reserve the site. The Camp consists of a stout wooden building with bunks for six (no mattresses), a tent platform accommodates four more people. The set-up is primitive: no water or electricity, outhouses up the hill. Parking is about 1/4-mile away. There is a wood stove for heat, a grill for cooking, and firewood is provided. Campers must bring everything else that they need. Cell-phone service is variable. This is a wonderful place to get away from modern life, to hike beautiful trails, and to get rejuvenated.
