Job Description: Assist with brainstorming activities for the committee to host - ideas for socials, places to do outdoor activities (hiking, biking, paddling.....), etc Attend the Executive Board Meetings - occur monthly Monday night in Middletown 8 months of the year with winter months being virtual and no meetings during the summer. Help recruit other leaders and participants. Represent the Committee at Whole Chapter Events - Spring Gathering, Fall Gathering, AT Day, Give-A-Day, Trails Day Help coordinate Activities with neighboring chapters. Some additional tasks may include... Attend inter-chapter retreats and/or meetings - most are now virtual, but some have been in-person. Writing a monthly report (4-5 sentences) of what the committee is up to or is working towards in the following month. Writing an annual report (a paragraph or two) with highlights on what the Committee accomplished during the year. If you would like to become a leader, you would need to attend a 1 day leadership class offered by the Chapter seasonally, have 2 co-leads with an experienced leader, and be the leader on a trip with an experienced leader as a co-leader. Then, you would be able to lead trips in that activity.
