Audience: Adults
Description: All participants must pre-register. This is a moderate hike on 2 Regional Water Authority properties, for a total of 8.5 miles. Minimal elevation, but there might be ice. There are 2 short road walks on quiet roads. We will hike 5 miles at Lake Bethany, then drive the short distance to Lake Chamberlain and hike another 3.5 miles. RWA does not permit dogs. Parking is behind locked gates; the gate at Lake Bethany will be open from 9:30-9:45 only, and the leader will open the Lake Chamberlain gate when we get there. Both sites have porta-potties. Hikers must bring spikes, poles, water, snacks, personal medications and first-aid supplies.
