Description: We'll meet at 10:00 in the parking area of Northwest Park for an easy 5 mile hike past tobacco barns, fields and forests and views of the Rainbow Reservoir.
(Up to 5 miles... bail outs are available if you get too cold...)
Located in historic Windsor, Connecticut, USA, Northwest Park and Nature Preserve is a 473-acre Municipal Park owned and operated by the Town of Windsor, Connecticut and is within the Department of Recreation and Leisure Services. From its beginning in 1972, much of what once was tobacco farmland has been converted to biologically diverse forests and fields embedded with streams and many pristine views – areas that are accessible by 12 miles of hiking trails.
