Description: REGISTRATION REQUIRED for this moderate ~6 mile out & back hike with ~683' gain on part of the southern half of the Pequot Tr. Please meet at 98 Lincoln Park Rd at 9:15 am to begin hiking by 9:30 am or sooner especially if it's cold. Route has ~0.7 mi of road walking each way. Rose Hill at 330' is the highest point on the trail. The trail passes through Lincoln Park. This hike is one of 8 in CFPA's Winter Wonder Blue-Blazed Challenge. Roots, rocks, potentially muddy in spots so sturdy hiking shoes with good traction required & hiking poles suggested. Dress in layers & please bring 10 essentials including water (1.5 liter+), snacks/lunch, sunscreen & personal meds/first aid items. If potentially snowy and/or icy, please bring microspikes. Heavy rain cancels. End time is approximate & will be based on the group pace.
