Description: With a wonderful network of commuter bike paths and numerous quiet country roads, Quebec City is not just the cradle of French civilization in North America, it is also a center for outdoor adventure. Bicycle touring in this area is a wonderful mix of experiences from the old world and the new.
The only fortified city north of Mexico, Quebec City has retained its charming Franco-European atmosphere. 17th and 18th century stone houses and churches, graceful parks, squares and monuments flank the winding cobbled streets. Quebec's cuisine is one of its treasures and its many restaurants and cafes allow you to soak in the city's ambiance. Because of its history, beauty and unique stature, the historic district of Quebec was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.
We will be there during the Grand Feux Loto-Quebec, which is their yearly fireworks festival with pyrotechnic displays set to music. We will be enjoying the show aboard a special dinner cruise on the St Lawrence river.
Located in Old Quebec and near the local bike path, our charming boutique hotel has rooms each with a queen bed, a double sofa bed and a kitchenette.
This five day adventure includes 20-30 miles of moderate daily biking with your evenings free to explore this vibrant and romantic city.
