There will be a new registration link on a new event for the Saturday postponement date. I will also accept "show & gos" and will have a sign in sheet at the start of the hike.
Description: Beat the heat with an early start on this 6+/- mile loop with about 600 feet of elevation gain through varied terrain on this excellent property studded with the famous pink granite. Registration requested. Bring plenty of water, snacks/lunch, bug spray, sunscreen, and a personal first aid kit. We will hike at a moderate pace of about 2 mph (depending upon the heat). No dogs please. Inclement weather cancels.
We will meet at 8:00 AM to start hiking promptly at 8:15 AM. The end time of this activity is only an estimate. We will meet at the parking lot on Quarry Road off of State Highway 146 in Branford, CT. Google Maps calls this Kelley Memorial Preserve.
