Description: All hikers must pre-register online. Meet at 8:45 for a prompt 9:00 start to this easy hike by Hanover Pond and the Meriden Gorge. No dogs. The trail is wide and flat with no significant elevation, so poles are optional, but probably won't be needed. Hikers must wear appropriate footwear with good traction: no sneakers. Bring water, a snack, personal medications and first-aid supplies. The address for the trailhead is 101 Oregon Road, Meriden, but parking is across the street from here. From route 70, turn by the red bridge onto Oregon Road. Go past the brick building on the right, then turn right into the parking lot. There's frequently a porta-potty here, but not always, and there's no private area in the woods, so plan on making a pit stop in advance. The end time is approximate.
