Description: POSTPONED TO SATURDAY AUGUST FIRST WITH NEW START TIME OF 8:30 AM. (from original date of Thursday July 30)
Beat the heat with an early start on this 6+/- mile loop with about 600 feet of elevation gain through varied terrain on this excellent property studded with the famous pink granite. Registration requested. Bring plenty of water, snacks/lunch, bug spray, sunscreen, and a personal first aid kit. We will hike at a moderate pace of about 2 mph (depending upon the heat). No dogs please. Inclement weather cancels.
We will meet at 8:15 AM to start hiking promptly at 8:30 AM. The end time of this activity is only an estimate. We will meet at the parking lot on Quarry Road off of State Highway 146 in Branford, CT. Google Maps calls this Kelley Memorial Preserve.
