Description: All hikers must pre-register online. No dogs. Meet at 8:45 for a prompt 9:00 start to this 8-mile, out-and-back hike to CT's highest single-drop waterfall. Most of the route is CT's typical terrain. There might be one or two stream crossings. There is a rocky descent to the falls. Hikers must wear appropriate hiking footwear with good traction: no sneakers. Poles are recommended. Hikers must carry water, snack, personal medications and first-aid supplies. Don't forget sunscreen and insect repellent. Use 25 Boardman Drive, Prospect for navigation. Parking is streetside in a residential neighborhood. Please be sure to leave at least 15' between your car and a mailbox or driveway. There are no porta-potties, but there are plenty of trees. Please give 24-hours' notice if you need to cancel: either use AMC's website, or notify the leader at 3millerwjr@gmail.com.
