Join Ida as she explores her native Colombia, a country renowned for its extraordinary biodiversity, ranking among the most biodiverse in the world. Discover ancient archaeological treasures such as the Ciudad Perdida in Tayrona National Natural Park, marvel at natural wonders like the brilliantly colored Caño Cristales in Serranía de la Macarena, and share in Ida’s personal adventures — from hiking through the spectacular Cocora Valley in Colombia’s coffee region to watching whales along the wild Pacific coast of Chocó. A journey through Colombia’s remarkable landscapes, rich history, and unforgettable wildlife awaits!
About the Speaker - Ida is a long-time volunteer for the Fairfield County Group of the AMC CT chapter. She is a regular participant on local AMC hikes and beyond AMC, she is an avid sailor in the sound with the Westport Sailing club.
