Description: Come join our Appalachian Mountain Club CT 20s/30s community as we brave a visit to the Haunting at The Ridge—your worst nightmares brought to life! The only way out… is through your deepest fears. The journey begins with a chilling chairlift ride up the mountain through the darkness where screams fill the air and shadows lurk below. The real terror begins when you descend the mountain on foot where each step leads deeper into dread. The mountain no longer belongs to the living and the sinister creatures that prowl there at night feed on screams. Be sure to stop by the campground. They love having guests so much… they may never let you leave. Will you survive what waits in the woods? Or will the mountain claim you too?
Located at Powder Ridge Ski Area, we'll meet at the Zombie Lounge at 5:30pm and attend the 6:30pm haunt session. Everyone must purchase their own tickets ($34 per person) and it is strongly encourage to purchase in advance, as it is Halloween and they can sell out. Make sure to choose tickets for the 6:30pm haunt. The mountain descent on foot lasts about 45 minutes. Good footwear is recommended and the trail can be muddy if there are rainy conditions. Backpacks are not allowed. Registered participants will be emailed any final details 1-3 days in advance including the plan for meeting up when we arrive.
Tickets: Purchase here , choose Haunting at the Ridge. Directions: Free parking at Powder Ridge Ski Area.

About Founded in 1876, the Appalachian Mountain Club is a non-profit organization that promotes the protection, enjoyment, and understanding of the mountains, forests, waters, and trails of America’s Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. The word "club" by no means implies exclusivity: AMC is a welcoming community where people of all backgrounds can come together and enjoy the outdoors. The Connecticut Chapter of AMC is active across the state and volunteers organize hundreds of activities annually. The CT Young Members Committee is geared towards those who identify as in their 20s & 30s. Some goals of the 20s & 30s group is to add more frequent activities and expand into multi-day adventures such as camping trips, hostels, backpacking, and destination trips that build community and lasting friendships.
