Description: Ca. 7 miles, 3-4 hours, ca. 900 ft. cumulative elevation gain. The Mattabesett Trail is a CFPA Blue-blazed trail and part of the New England Trail (NET). Meet at Dead Hill Rd. Parking Lot, Durham. Proceed north on Mattabesett Trail to Mt. Pisgah, elevation 643 ft., with westward lookout. Descend to and walk along Chalker Brook. Cross Chalker Brook and proceed on Mattabesset Trail to Pyramid Rock and Selectman’s Stones. Return via Whitney Road to Dead Hill Road and Trailhead.
