20s/30s Goddard Memorial State Park Hike — AMC Narragansett Chapter

Join the Narragansett 20s/30s on an approximately four-mile hike through Goddard Memorial State Park. Goddard Park is a popular park situated on a small Narragansett Bay peninsula, and we'll have great views of the bay and Greenwich Cove as we hike along the wooded trails. After the hike, participants are invited to join the entire AMC Narragansett Chapter at the annual Spring Fling (https://activities.outdoors.org/s/oc-activity/a5UUN0000014GlZ2AU/act00013158). Food will be provided.

Participants should expect to walk these flat trails at a brisk 2-3 mph pace for 4-4.5 miles. We will stay on the dirt trails for the majority of the hike, but there are a few picturesque place where we will likely walk onto sandy beaches for a few minutes. If it's a cooler day, the wind off of the bay can make the hike a little chilly, so consider bringing an extra layer just in case.

Participants are required to bring:

• At least one liter of water
• Snacks as needed
• Shoes capable of withstanding mud and possible standing water
• Bug/tick spray if needed

Details regarding parking and the meetup location will be shared with registered participants on 30 May.

Note: This is intended to be a 20s & 30s affinity trip, but everyone is welcome.
