Sweet Run Virginia State Park 4-mile Hike and Catered Picnic

Sweet Run Virginia State Park is a NEW state park that includes the ruins of a 19th Century farming community and a restored 1840's farm house. Trails within the park include several landscapes: forest, meadow, pond, and mountainside. We will meet at 10:00 and hike along the perimeter of the park for about 4 miles before gathering for a catered picnic. The hike is not difficult, but be sure to have good footwear and some extras in your daypack in case the weather changes. The daypack will be a good place to stash your water and the picnic fare that we have for you.
