Finding and Succeeding with International Hikes & Learn about the AMC

In September we're hosting a series of activities allowing you to learn more about the outdoor and conservation work of the Appalachian Mountain Club.

On Sept 19 we will meet at REI in Bethesda in the evening to learn about Appalachian Mountain Club and to hear from a guest speaker.

Potomac Chapter Chair and International hiker Peg Barratt will share the many different ways to plan and succeed in international hikes. She will draw upon her hiking experiences in Wales, Norway, Japan, Scotland, Taiwan, Chile, and Armenia. Yes, there will be pictures, and helpful how-to information, and you can ask your questions.
