Description: Join AMC Western Mass 20s/30s for our first book club meetup! Spend a cozy afternoon with us on February 8th to discuss our first selection, which is the novel North Woods by Daniel Mason. Set in western MA, this book describes a plot of land over time, as told through the eyes of the various people and creatures who reside there. If you do not have a copy, physical copies are available at local libraries and bookstores throughout western MA as well as in eBook and audiobook form.

  • Location Information: Depending on the number of people who sign up and due to limited space we will either meet at the smaller Lady Killigrew Cafe which is part of the Book Mill in Montague, MA , OR the larger Fort Hill Brewery in Easthampton . Both locations are nestled within the woods and reminiscent of those that surround the house in the novel. After the discussion, folks are welcome to explore the either the rest of the Book Mill or the woods of Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary in Easthampton on their own. Please RSVP by February 1st in order for us to have an accurate headcount. We will send final location details to those who sign up via email.
    This informal meetup is open to all, whether or not you have finished the book (but be prepared for spoilers!). Food and drink are available for purchase at either location.
