Description: Join us to bike and be part of the historic event celebrating 1 the AMC 150th Anniversary Relay - a 1,500-mile journey from Virginia to Maine. This relay segment is 20 miles round trip (10 miles if riders wish to end in Lowell).
The ride begins at Nashoba Brook Conservation Area - (exact meeting location sent to registered participants closer to the event date). We will ride on the Bruce Freeman Trail for 10 miles to Lowell. After handing off the official AMC150 flag to those participating in the next leg of the AMC 150 relay, we bike back 10 miles to the start of the ride. Riders who wish to end at 10 miles in Lowell should arrange for their own transportation back to the start of the ride,
We will ride at a 10-12 mph pace on flat, paved surfaces. Please be sure your bicycle is in good working order - brakes, gears, wheels, tires etc.
Helmets are required for all riders.
You may want to bring a spare inner tube, water, brightly-colored clothing,and a hand pump or CO2 inflator and flashing lights.
