After registering, the exact meeting location and additional details will be emailed a few days before the event. Click here for our 27.9-mile route with 1011 feet of climbing at an average pace of about 12 mph. This ride is classified as easy per the AMC Trip Rating System . Please email the leader if you have any specific questions.
Bike & Gear: Any type of bike is ok for this trip if you are capable of the distance, vertical and speed described. You should have the tools and gear with you to be able to handle minor repairs, such as a flat tire and make minor bike adjustments yourself. Riders should have two water bottle cages on their bike or use a camelback. We also highly recommend carrying a jacket and for safety have a rearward facing red blinky light and wear high-viz clothing.
Special Logistic Notes: AMC150 segments are setup as a point-to-point, one-way relay. Since this ride is more than 20-25 miles most folks won’t want to do an “out and back” ride. The leaders will be facilitating car spots to make it work with the riders that register. Also, since this ride is part of a 1500-mile relay, there isn’t a rain date; the ride will either run or cancel due to weather. The leader will run the ride unless there is sustained, heavy rain. Riders should make their own decision to cancel if conditions are outside or their comfort zone.
About the AMC 150th Relay : Since 1876, AMC has connected people to the outdoors through recreation, education, and conservation. In 2026, we celebrate 150 years of that legacy with the AMC 150th Relay—a 1,500-mile journey from Virginia to Maine. Each leg of the relay contributes to a continuous route across the Northeast, showcasing the diversity of AMC’s outdoor legacy. Join the celebration by participating in a relay segment, attending a local event, or sharing your AMC story. Together, we’ll honor the past and shape the future of outdoor adventure
