Description: Join us for a fun & friendly 11 mile ride around the Charles river. The route follows the Dr. Paul Dudley White bike path offering lovely views of the city and river while sticking to mostly designated bike/pedestrian paths. We will move at a more casual pace of 8-10 mph, as we will be sharing the path with pedestrians. We will stick together as a group and outline regrouping points along the route. The ride should take approximately 1-1.5 hours.
Please arrive at the meeting point - Galaxy Park (short distance from the Kendall/MIT T stop) at 5:15 to be ready to roll at 5:30.
Participants will be welcome to join leaders after the ride for refreshments and good vibes near the end point of the route at nearby Lamplighter in Cambridge Crossing.
Helmets and rear lights are required, and a front headlight or headlamp is strongly recommended. Participants should also bring water and materials to fix a flat. A light bike lock is also recommended for the after-ride social in case we end up sitting out of sight range of our bikes.
