Intention: Ready
Ready for the light and the dark.
For the known and the unknown.
For heartbreak, for joy.

This collaborative dance between AMC, Warren Wilson, and Emberlight (Center for Conscious Living & Dying) is an invitation to explore how ready we really are.

So often, we feel not ready,
and then find ourselves meeting the moment anyway.
Surprising ourselves with our capacity,
our community,
our love.

In the night we sang to storms
Before the peace that breaks at dawn
How did we doubt the evening sun
We didn't know we were ready.
With the answers at our feet
Will we break the grounds beneath

About the DJ
DJ Bobcat, Bob Swoap crafts journeys that invite dancers to deeply connect: with themselves, others, nature, and the music. He layers genres and world rhythms into an emotionally engaging set. At Warren Wilson College -- where he is professor of psychology and expressive arts therapy -- Bob facilitates ecstatic dance as a part of the community wellness program, bringing a grounded, experienced presence to the floor.
