Details

Let’s wrap up the 4th of July Weekend with an easy walk in Van Cortlandt Park!

Van Cortlandt Park is a wonder with a mix of paved, gravel and packed-dirt trails on flat terrain as well as steep-ish hills. For this 3-4 miles walk, we’ll be kind to ourselves and look for trails with less elevation.

We’ll meet at 4:00pm outside the public restrooms on the Broadway side of the Park, just north of the 242nd St #1 train station. We’ll talk briefly about the AMC and today’s route before heading off no later than 4:15pm.

**Please note there is MTA Planned Service on the #1 line. If you are coming from below 137th St, you will need to take the free shuttle bus to 168th St and then get back on the subway to 242nd St. Anticipate an additional 30 minutes of travel time. **

Please wear sturdy shoes and bring a hat and water.

Registration is required for this walk in order to electronically sign the waiver. Register HERE at AMC Van Cortlandt Park Stroll. Even if you RSVP, you still must register please.
